  • LINOCUT WORKSHOP decorative letters & type on 6th Jul 2018, at Trafalgar artspace

    Cut individual decorative alphabet letter blocks to form your name or another word. These will be printed on the day and can be hand coloured later. Great for baby names, artisan packaging, signs, anything where you need to create an individualised handmade font. Linocut workshop

Thursday 6 Oct, 10am-3.30pm, create a small edition of prints using the reduction technique where a colourful print is made from a single block. With progressive cutting, and inking the image emerges. Landscape, gardens, plants, horticulture themes are suggested for this Gardivalia Festival event.

Everything is supplied except the cutting tools. In this class you will learn to transfer you design to the lino, cut your  lino plate and then print it. The cost is only $85. Linocut cards & wrapping Workshop

Tuesday Sept 20th, 2016 10am – 3.30pm,

Using linocut, print your own design onto cotton rag paper to create beautiful greeting cards that reflect your your own style. Perfect for Christmas, birthdays or Ramadan. We’ll also be making a sheet of matching wrapping paper using the same block.

Learn to transfer your design to the lino block, cut and then print it. Your single coloured prints can later be hand coloured or embellished with thread once they are dry. Small class of 10 suitable for beginners or more advanced, aged 12-112. We will be working on Green/blue lino using water based printing inks in different colours.We will print on a variety of papers and some fabric. Great for students, workshop notes provided. A Neerim Bower Festival Event.

What to Bring: BYO Linocut Tools, bring along an idea or start from scratch. Sketchbook for designing. This is also useful for taking your (hopefully) dry cards home. Grey lead pencil 2B, eraser, ballpoint pen, scissors. Bring any special paper/material if you like. BYO Lunch (Tea, coffee provided throughout the day)

The value of Drawing – Open Drawing session

We draw for many reasons… to explain, to remember, to understand and crystalise our thoughts. For some it is relaxing and is a preferred method of communication. Join artists Helen Timbury and Russell Lilford at the Dyslexic Warriors Exhibition for a drawing session open to all ages. Materials are provided or bring along your own sketchbook and pen.
