Come along to this informal artist talk to hear Helen tell about her linocut prints and processes. The talk will be held in the gallery and she will bring some of her printing blocks and sketchbooks particular to the exhibition. This will be a chance to meet Helen, see the exhibition and learn about her work and this graphic medium. It’s a free event, enjoy cheese & biscuits and glass of wine.
This Saturday I’ll be demonstrating the techniques and materials I use in linocut printmaking. All about design and transferring the design to the block, also cutting and printing without a press. This is what I love about linocut; the immediate results possible without a press or studio. Up until 5 years ago most of my work was made on the kitchen table.
When: 10am-12pm, Saturday 23rd March at Yarragon Arts Hub, West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia FREE
My boxes of 6 Cards (original linocut designs) and envelopes have been very well received. It took me a long time to develop this product, as I could never decide which designs to use! I finally made the decision, and included the selection on the labelling of the natural-look recycled box.
The cards are produced locally in Warragul, the envelopes are natural kraft 100% recycled from post consumer waste. Retail Price AU $25.OO
