Thank You and December Markets

Wombat LinocutIt was great meeting visitors to my studio on Sunday, I had so many fascinating conversations with people.

It was a productive day spent printing orange wombats onto some small pieces of BFK Rives cotton rag paper that had been building up in my plan drawers. This was something small and simple enough to print while I talked with people.

Many people had a go “driving” my old Shin Nihon press helping me print them. I look forward to my next Open studio March 20 2016.

Now I’m gearing up for markets. I’ll be at quite a few over December. All have local produce and artisan products. It’s great way to pick up stocking fillers, get great fresh food for sharing with friends or just chill out and enjoy being outside.

Upcoming Markets – Rest of December

Warragul Arts Market  Saturday 19 December
At the this next market I will hold a free outdoor print activity 10:00am-12 noon. Kids and adults alike will be able to print their own linocut Christmas Critter.
This will be 19 Dec, 9am – 1pm. This lovely little market runs in conjunction with the gastronomically exciting Warragul Farmers Market. The adress of my stall is under a shady tree, Civic Park, Warragul.

50 Mile Farmer’s Market,
Tarwin Street, Morwell, Sat 12 Dec, 8:00am-1:00pm

The 50 Mile Farmers Market is an event drawing local producers within a 50 mile radius, gathering and maintaining a local fresh food network. Now the clever organiser have included some local non edible products for Christmas. You can find their Facebook page here

Market in the Mountains
Sunday 13 December 9:00am -1:00pm In the beautiful country town of Erica!

This Market will showcase local produce, artists, makers and vintage wares all made and grown in Latrobe City and the Baw Baw Region.

This isn’t just a Market, it’s a mini festival with live music and kids activities all day! Bring your picnic blankets and stay for the whole day or why not stay the weekend at one of the lovely bnb’s or camping sites that surround the area, take a walk up the majestic Mt Erica and have a delicious dinner at Cafe 1914 or The Erica Pub before coming to the Market on the Sunday!

Erica is a short 25 minute scenic drive from either Moe or Traraglon. This stunning little town is right on your back door step so why wouldn’t you want to come up to buy your last minute Chrissy presents or just take in the fresh air.
